Jaipur, March 2020: Siegwerk, one of the leading global suppliers of printing inks for packaging applications and labels headquartered in Germany, announced that it has handed over a new building to the Government Senior Secondary School in Deengli Village, Dist.Alwar in Rajasthan. Constructed with an estimated cost of INR 95 lakhs, this all-new building was dedicated to the students of the village ensuring them access to better infrastructure to pursue their education without any hassle. More than 250 underserved students of the village are benefited by Siegwerk India’s benevolent approach that created modern and sustainable education infrastructure for them.
Prior to Siegwerk’s involvement, the government-run school building was extremely old and in a dilapidated condition with just three usable rooms, hence, unable to accommodate all the students from Grade 1 to 12. After assessing the condition of the old school building, Siegwerk India took up the initiative to reconstruct a new building for the students studying at the government school. The new school building now has all the basic amenities and classrooms, kitchen to prepare food for the students, a dining room, toilet building and an office for the Principal of the school. With this modern infrastructure in place, the students can focus on their studies, further excelling in their education and career.

After handing over the new school building to the authorities, the local government officials appreciated the efforts of Siegwerk India for its extraordinary contribution to the society and presented a token of appreciation in an event organised to facilitate the transfer of the school building. The enthused students performed various cultural programmes to celebrate the new beginning at the renovated school.
As part of its community development and upliftment activities, Siegwerk India has been very active in supporting schools by providing them the necessary infrastructure such as toilets, school buildings, stationery, school uniform, furniture, etc. It also conducts annual sport events, Children’s Day celebrations, the annual picnic, and many more extracurricular activities for the overall development of thousands of students of different Rajasthan Govt. schools that are adopted and is supported by the company in Rajasthan. Siegwerk is also supporting meritorious girls in helping them to pursue higher studies like BSC Nursing and Boys to ITI training. It has also started the Siegwerk Scholarship Programme under the banner “Siegwerk India Vidyarthi ProtsahanYojna“ to recognise and support meritorious students doing well in Class X and Class XII board examination.
