New Delhi, April 17, 2020: Coronavirus is becoming an immense threat to the world like no other we have probably seen in our living memory. SHARP, as one of the most renowned Air Purifier manufacturer across the world, has decided to supply 44 units in total, of their latest air purifiers to Safdarjung Hospital (20 units) and Civil Surgeon Hospitals in Gurgaon (20 units) and Panchkula (4 units).
SHARP Air Purifiers can play a pivotal role in ensuring air quality in the hospital by removing the virus and bacteria from the air and help in limiting cross-infection. The highest numbers of deaths are coming from infected patients who are “immune-compromised” (in other words, people with a deficient immune system). This should also help to reduce the total viral load in the air where the doctors and nurses are toiling day and night. It will not be out of place here to remind the readers that more than 150 doctors and nurses have died due to the coronavirus.
Speaking on the development, Shinji Minatogawa, Managing Director, SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. Commented: “As a responsible organisation, we are pledged to support the country in the fight against COVID-19. We acknowledge that hospitals and their medical staff are our first defenders against the pandemic, and providing safe and clean hospital wards free of pollutants is our top priority.”
Very recently, SHARP, in association with Dr Sagnik Dey and Dr Gazala Habib of IIT Delhi, published their latest research about SHARP’s Innovative and Patented Plasmacluster Ion Technology that can effectively remove three types of PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) – Fluoranthene (91.1 per cent), Chrysene (62.1 per cent), and Dibenzo (a, h)Anthracene (94.6 per cent) which are known to be extremely harmful towards the human body.
