India: DECATHLON hosted its 5th edition of cleanup drives on the occasion of World Cleanup Day as part of its ongoing partnership with the World Cleanup Day organisation. This year, the brand organised several cleanup activities, including beach cleanups, hike plogging, playground cleanups, lake cleanups, and forest cleanups in 19 States. In addition to this, physical training sessions on waste segregation and composting was also conducted in collaboration with expert vendor partners along with recycling or directing waste towards energy recovery.
Since its inception, Decathlon has contributed to preserving nature and fostering a sense of community, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles as well as meaningful connections. As part of its continued dedication to a healthier planet, this initiative focuses on promoting environmental stewardship and community involvement, highlighting the importance of waste collection in maintaining clean, vibrant surroundings.
