Goldmedal Electricals Helps Over 1000 Families Find Their Feet in Flood-Hit Kerala

Mumbai, August 30, 2019: Goldmedal Electricals, the leading fast-moving electrical goods company based in Mumbai, has stepped forward to assist people affected by the unprecedented flood situation in Kerala. The Company is dispensing essential grocery kits to more than 1000 families who have been displaced due to this unfortunate natural calamity. Goldmedal Electricals has been sending across dry food items such as rice, dal, sugar, salt and other essentials to people residing in relief camps in Malappuram District and Wayanad Region, which are some of the most affected areas.

Commenting on the relief efforts underway, Kishan Jain, Director, Goldmedal Electricals said, “We deeply empathise with the families who have been affected by the devastating floods across Kerala. This is a very unfortunate incident and we are committed towards offering all our support and by contributing in the best way possible to help people overcome these challenges. We stand alongside the people of Kerala in their hour of need and will continue working towards providing disaster relief until normalcy is restored in the State.”

The items were distributed in the presence of PV Anwar, MLA of Nilambur (Malappuram District) and Sasheendran, MLA of Kalpetta (Wayanad Region). With an aim to support the flood victims, Goldmedal Electricals has made a contribution of approximately Six Lakh Rupees by providing emergency basic rations and is encouraging others to do the same. The Company hopes that through this initiative, many other organisations will come forward and do their bit in helping the people in distress.
