National, November 19, 2020: As part of their CSR initiative, Tenon Group of Companies, global leaders in integrated facility management and security services, presented a high-performing tractor with a shrub master to an army unit of the Indian Army, in which the Global Chairman, Major Manjit Rajain had served.
The Global Chairman, Major Manjit Rajain and the Global CEO, Brig. Rajan Oberoi have served in the 11 Armoured Regiment, and therefore are aware first hand of the extreme circumstances, hardships and sacrifices the men face in both peace and field locations.
The contribution has been made to simplify and ease the burden of the jawans from the mundane tasks that they execute daily. They can thus devote more time training as also be able to spend quality time with their families.
Talking about the initiative, Major Manjit Rajain says, “We take immense pride in the fact that a large segment of the Tenon Group is formed by veterans of the Army. It is our moral responsibility to give back to the Indian Army which not only stands steady fast for the country in both war and peace but also contributes to the national economy both when the officers and jawans are in service and as veterans. This is a small contribution made by our organisation to wholeheartedly support the brave heroes who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the nation. With this, we renew our pledge to contribute to the Indian Army, in every capacity whatsoever.”
