Jodhpur: On the occasion of the 215th Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille, January 4, 2023, Cultivator Natural Products Pvt. Ltd. along with the Association for Welfare of the Handicapped, Jodhpur organised a cultural event followed by dinner and gifts distribution to visually impaired and blinds. The event was also graced by social welfare activities and dignitaries from Jodhpur.
The celebration of the 215th birth anniversary of Louis Braille started with a lamp-lighting ceremony and was followed by a cultural performance from visually impaired members of the Association for Welfare of the Handicapped – Jodhpur. Visually impaired and blinds from remote areas of the Thar Region – Western Rajasthan actively participated in the event. The ceremony reached its highlight when the specially-abled ones sang beautiful poems and folk songs for the attendees.
In his address during the event, Tarun Prajapati, Co-founder & MD, Cultivator Natural Products Pvt. Ltd. said, “Braille established a milestone in innovation and enabled education for millions of lives across the world through his path-breaking discovery. Today, this has revolutionised the education sector and has made it possible for visually impaired people to learn and grow in life. We all must learn from their dedication and perseverance.”
He further added, “There is a need for more in-depth research on the work of Mr. Braille. This is the need of the hour to give the required momentum to learning processes for visually impaired students. Society and every individual must ensure to play pivotal roles in helping blinds and visually impaired ones to reach new heights of success in their lives.”
The programme culminated with messenger bags distribution to all participants in the event from the Cultivator’s family. Further to this, the event was followed by a dinner hosted by Mr. Prajapati on behalf of Cultivator Natural Products Pvt. Ltd., Jodhpur.
