National: Physics Wallah (PW) Founder and CEO Alakh Pandey has given a full fee waiver on some of its paid batches to 51,000 students for the academic session 2023-2024 to support and empower those from economically weaker sections of society who lack access to quality education. The total cost, amounting to the contribution in terms of waiving the fee, is over Rs 17 Crores.
Since its inception in 2020, Physics Wallah (PW) has been dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable courses, democratising education at scale for students even in the remotest parts of the country. Through its affordable pricing model, PW has disrupted the market by offering high-quality content batches for approximately Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, which includes additional features. Despite these efforts, many students cannot afford even these courses, prompting PW Founder and CEO Alakh Pandey to announce this initiative aimed at levelling the playing field for students in terms of opportunities. Additionally, PW provides free quality education on YouTube to over four crore students.
PW Founder and CEO, Alakh Pandey, said, “This initiative is for students from disadvantaged financial backgrounds who haven’t given up on their academic aspirations. We aim to encourage them and provide hope that we stand by them, and financial constraints won’t hinder their right to education. Our commitment to advancing this revolution at scale across Bharat will continue.”
To avail the benefit of this initiative, termed the ‘Right to Education program,’ students had to fill out a form on the PW App.
