National: RR Kabel Limited, one of the leading wire and cable manufacturer and electrical solutions company in India, has announced its latest edition of the RR Kabel Star Scholarship Programme. The programme, that was rolled out last year, is an industry-first initiative and is aimed at empowering and helping the children of electricians in India. The company had a successful programme last year where more than 1,000 students were awarded scholarships of more than Rs.1 Crore across India.
The RR Kabel Star Scholarship Programme is for those electricians’ children who have passed their Grade X exams this year and are pursuing their higher secondary education. The criteria for applying for this scholarship is that the students must have cleared their exams on the first attempt. Their parents should be registered as an electrician on the RR Connect app. The top 1,000 students amongst the applicants will be selected and given a scholarship of Rs. 10,000 each. The applications for this year is now live.
