National: Spreading the festive cheer on the New Year, NoBroker.com, India’s first proptech unicorn, recently organised a month-long clothes donation drive in NoBrokerHood societies across Delhi-NCR to kickstart #DoGoodWithNoBrokerHood campaign. Through the campaign, it collected over 25,000 kilograms of clothes from ten NoBrokerHood societies. It partnered with multiple NGOs to donate clothes to underprivileged children.

The drive was launched given the very challenging weather condition in Delhi-NCR. It was conducted in phases over three weekends. NoBroker facilitated the entire program’s logistics using NoBroker Packers & Movers service. NoBrokerHood users from residential societies also volunteered to assist with the campaign.

The first phase was conducted in Delhi-NCR. NoBrokerHood plans to launch similar drives in other cities as well where it has a presence.

Speaking on the announcement, Amit Agarwal, CEO, and Co-founder of NoBroker, said, “Warm clothes are a necessity, and a lot of clothes get discarded every year. We thought of this drive as a community-building exercise. As cities get more and more urbanized, it is hard for people to find time to dispose of used clothes in the right way. We wanted to bring in the aspect of a collective effort that can create a larger impact. The timing could not be better than now when temperatures are unbearable. The donation drive is part of many CSR initiatives we’ve taken in the recent past.”

“We’re celebrating festivals and occasions in true spirit after a very long haul. While it is common practice to exchange gifts with friends and family, play secret Santa in offices and schools, we wanted to do something special for the less privileged. We are delighted with the response that we received from enthusiastic residents of NoBrokerHood societies, both in terms of donations as well as the volunteer work,” he added.
